Dr. Frederick Rivara, George Adkins professor of pediatrics and head of the Division of General Pediatrics, has been named editor of the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, effective July 1. The journal, published by the American Medical Association, has more than 30,000 readers. Rivara has directed Harborview Medical Center’s Injury Prevention and Research Center (HIPRC) since 1987. He plans to step down from the directorship, but will continue his research at the center and will remain head of the Division of General Pediatrics. Dr. David Grossman, associate professor of pediatrics and co-director of the HIPRC, will serve as acting HIPRC director. ¶
