Research participants needed

Healthy males: The UW Department of Medicine is looking for healthy males between 38 and 55 to participate in a study involving muclear medicine scans. Participation requires seven to eight hours for two brain scans and cognitive functioning tests. Compensation is $50. Contact Jessica at (206) 521-1231 for information.

Newly diagnosed diabetics: A UW study needs patients with newly diagnosed Type II diabetes for tests of an investigational medication. Patients must be between 30 and 75 and not already taking any diabetes medication. Participants will need to visit the clinic seven times over three months. Study subjects will receive free physical exams and lab tests, and will earn up to $650 for completing the study. Call Monica Smith at (206) 768-5272.
