UW prepares to open Bothell’s new campus

UW Bothell Chancellor Warren Buck and the entire UW community will open the new Bothell campus on Sept. 16.

UW faculty and staff are invited to the opening of the new, state-of-the-art campus that is home to both Cascadia Community College and the UW Bothell at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will open these unique, Washington State higher education institutions on the co-located campus, set just west of I-405 in Bothell.

The partnership between the two institutions is just the third of its kind in the United States. Buck, the first permanent chancellor at UW Bothell, said in an earlier University Week article that maintaining a small-campus feel would remain a priority at Bothell. ¶
