The fall meeting of an international organization of bioengineers, the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), is taking place Oct. 12 to 14 at the DoubleTree Hotel at SeaTac. A Womens Health Workshop, What Women Need to Know about Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Migraines, Sleep, Fibromyalgia and Depression, will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 14, at the UW Tacoma Conference Center. Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Prosthetic-Orthotic student training programs will be featured at an Open House in the School of Medicines Department of Rehabilitation Medicine from 4 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, in room BB-912 of the Health Sciences Center.
