FAMILIAR FACE: School of Drama denizens may recognize one of the cast members on the new TV show Deadline. Christina Chang (pronounced Chong), who plays a bright teaching assistant and unofficial proxy for Wallace Benton (Oliver Platt) at the New York Ledger, earned her MFA here. Chang was born and raised in Taipan, Taiwan and came to the U.S. for college at 17. Her first professional acting job was at Seattle Childrens Theatre in the play Naomis Road.
KUDOS: Bioengineering Professor Allan Hoffman received the 2000 Founders Award of the Society for Biomaterials, recognizing long term commitment and landmark contributions to the field of biomaterials. . . . Frank Henyey, principal physicist at APL, received the editors award from the Journal of Physical Oceanography for contributing a referees report of outstanding merit on a manuscript submitted for publication.
