Changes made to calendar

The calendar that appears regularly in University Week is available online and can now be updated on the Web.

Those wishing to enter events must secure permission from Bob Roseth, director of News and Information (roseth@u.washington.edu). After that, they will have access to a Web form at http://myuw.washington.edu/pubevents/

Events entered on the form will appear in the paper version of University Week and also in the UW’s online Events Calendar.

Once an event is entered, it can be modified or deleted only by the individual who enters it. The entry can also contain links to other Web addresses. Events can be entered as far in advance as information is available, and the descriptions can be as detailed as those entering the events wish. The material may be edited, how-ever, for use in University Week.

To access the online form, send Roseth your NetID, name, phone number, e-mail address and home department. Within a day, you will gain access to the online form and will no longer need to have events entered by the News and Information staff.

About 40 people now have access to the online entry sys-tem, which has been in opera-tion less than two months. Questions can be addressed to Roseth at his e-mail address or by calling 543-2580.
