Taking a close look
A student from Adams Elementary School in Ballard studies a rock at the Burke Museum with the aid of a magnifying glass. The students were visiting the Burkes Rocks & Minerals program, which was developed in support of Seattle Public Schools Grade 3 curriculum. During their visit the students learn how to classify, analyze and identify the rocks and minerals.

UW Medical Center clinics relocating to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance clinic building include Medical Oncology, Hematology, Breast Cancer, Gynecological Oncology, Melanoma and Sarcoma. About 35 UWMC staff from the Cancer Center and oncology clinics will be moving to become Alliance employees.
In addition, some UW faculty members, with research and support staff, will be relocating their offices to the Alliance building.
Patients whose care location will be affected by the move have been notified.
