UW fund-drive donation largest ever recorded
|
This years UW Combined Fund Drive was the most successful in the 16-year history of the statewide campaign, raising $1,224,398.21 for more than 1,600 charities. A total of 5,157 faculty and staff contributed to the fund drive.
This total represents the largest single charitable donation ever raised by a Washington state agency or department participating in the Combined Fund Drive. I want to say thank you to all who gave so generously and for Making a World of Difference in the lives of so many in and outside the state of Washington, said the chair of this years drive, Pat Poulin.
Poulin said the campaign was a great success due to the hard work of many individuals throughout campus including the UW CFD Steering Committee and the coordinators and department representatives who worked tirelessly with faculty and staff in their own organizations.
