Casing the gallery
Two guitar cases took on a different look during the School of Art open house last week. The cases sat among other art works on display and for sale as part of the open house, which also included tours and presentations, both in the Art Building and Ceramic Metal Arts Building.

The three printers
An exhibition of books from two Italian private presses can be seen in the Manuscripts, Special Collections and University Archives Division in the basement of Allen Library through May 31. The books are from Ampersond Press, owned by Allesandro Zanella (left, above) and Officina Chimerea, owned by Gino Castiglioni (middle) and Allessandro Corubolo. The 21 examples in the exhibit were produced entirely by hand on cast-iron handpresses or a manually operated cylinder proof press.
