UW Police host open house

On Wednesday, March 7, the UW Police Department will be hosting a Community Open House from 2 to 4 p.m. The event is sponsored by the UW Police Officer’s Association in conjunction with the Police Department. There will be displays, tours of the Department and presentations of the Officer and Employee of the Year for 2000.

Three recently determined promotions will be formally announced at 2:30 p.m. by Chief Vicky Peltzer. This will also be an opportunity for community members to meet the two assistant chiefs, who both joined the UW in October; Assistant Chief Emmet Stormo and Assistant Chief Annette Spicuzza.

All community members are invited to drop in for refreshments and a look at the UW Police Department. The Department is located in the Bryant Building at 1117 N.E. Boat St., just one block west of Brooklyn Avenue Northeast on the Montlake Cut.
