Dawg Dash
Greg Crowther, graduate student in Physiology and Biophysics and winner of the 1999 Dawg Dash, encourages UW departments to sign up as teams in the annual walk/run Oct. 13. The event starts and finishes in Husky Stadium, with the 10k beginning at 9 a.m. and the 5k at 9:15. The cost is $20 general, $15 Alumni Association members, $10 students and $5 for students without the event t shirt. All proceeds support student scholarships. Register at the Alumni House or, beginning Oct. 6, at University Bookstore.

Muilenburg Tower dedicated
Members of the family of Rob Muilenburg, longtime executive director of UW Medical Center who died in September 2000, were on hand for dedication of the medical center’s eastern wing as the Robert H. Muilenburg Tower on Sept. 10. With the portrait of Rob, his wife Judith and their dog are son Matt Muilenburg, holding his baby daughter Olivia; grandson Rob Muilenburg and Judith.
