The 2002 Taking Control of Your Diabetes conference is Saturday, May 4, at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in downtown Seattle. The event features presentations by expert researchers and physicians from the UW, Group Health Cooperative, Virginia Mason Medical Center and Washington State University.
Hands-on sessions will include foot screening and a drug review presented by registered pharmacists. Early registration before April 26 is $40 per person or $70 per couple and includes a sit-down banquet lunch. On-site registration will be $50 per person.
The Seattle co-director of TCOYD is Dr. Irl Hirsch, the medical director of the UW Diabetes Care Center.
