Dr. Paul Ramsey, vice president for medical affairs and dean of the School of Medicine, greeted Archbishop Desmond Tutu as he arrived at the Health Sciences Center last week for the Global Health Forum held in Hogness Auditorium. Directly behind Tutu is the Rev. Robert Taylor of St. Marks Cathedral.

Four members of the faculty in the School of Medicine’s Department of Physiology and Biophysics are exhibiting art work at the Gallery at the Shoreline Center, located in the community wing of the Shoreline Center, 185th and 1st Ave. N.E.The Gallery is open Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m. The four faculty members knew of each other’s art work and connected with Roz Bird, who manages the gallery and is the wife of neurogenetics expert and UW professor Dr. Tom Bird, at a social event. Each of the artists has a different style and themes for his work. The exhibit will be on display until July 1.
