The Emergency Radiology section is actively engaged in research ranging from applications of new imaging technologies to health outcomes and evidence-based medicine. As part of the University of Washington Department of Radiology, there is a relationship with active research programs in biomedical engineering, imaging physics, and all areas of clinical radiology research.Current Research

Health Services Research in Radiology
Associated with Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Department of Radiology, this group studies the impact of radiological techniques on diagnostic confidence, medical decision making, patient outcomes, work flow, utilization, cost, and cost-effectiveness of radiological techniques (e.g., operations research, prediction rules, cost, and outcomes)
