Instructions for Creating DICOM Format CDs

These are the steps you need to take to create a DICOM compatible CD or DVD on a Stentor – iSite PACS system. Frequently hospitals that have the Philips – iSite PACS system (previously referred to as Stentor PACS) send CD's or DVD's of images to Harborview Medical Center in a non-DICOM format. This is a problem for us, as we need to look at outside imaging, and import those images into our  PACS system.
In order to create DICOM compatible CD or DVD, you must have upgraded your iSite PACS system to Version 3.5. For more detailed instructions read the iSite user help files.
To access the CD Manager, click the "CD Manager" listing in the iSite Folder list. From the CD Manager Panel, change the selection (default setting) from “iSite Media Format” to “Both” button (for both DICOM and iSite Media Formats). Then click the Start button. Label the CD and send it to the destination.
