Antiques and Collectibles: 1st Wed. 10:30 –12:00 am

   We invite guest speakers to members' homes or go out on excursions. We welcome new members interested in collectibles.

Book Discussion: 3rd Mon. 9:30 am

   The group picks both fiction and nonfiction books that have some depth. After background research, a volunteer reviewer opens the group's discussion.

Bridge: Evening:  2nd Fri. 7:00 pm  or Sat. 7:30 pm

   Meeting in members' homes, the group plays low key social duplicate bridge with no significant difference from party bridge. Come join us; it's fun.

  Meet at the Inglewood Country Club for social duplicate bridge and lunch.

Foreign Language: French: Alt. Mon. 12:30 pm

   The group meets bimonthly for French conversation and lunch. Discussion centers on French newspaper articles and topics of general interest.

   The German-speaking group talks about everything. We meet in different members’ homes.

Foreign Language: Italian: 2nd Tues. 7:00-8:30 pm (start in Oct.)

 The Italian group talks on topics of general interest that range widely with speaking, reading, and sometimes writing, always in Italian.

Gallery Goers: 4th Wed. (3rd in Nov)

   We go to galleries or museums with a docent or audio guide. Before or after the tour we have lunch in a nearby restaurant.

Gourmet – Daytime: 3rd Tues. 12:30 pm

   Gourmet cooks enjoy small lunches in members' homes. There are usually two cooks per meal.

Hiking: Tuesday Trekkers:  Tues. year-round

   We've been walking, hiking and cross-country skiing since 1971. Hikes are 5-10 miles, in the mountains or closer to Seattle, depending on the weather.

Scandinavian Cultural Exchange: 2nd Wed. 11:00 am                       

   Members are Scandinavians living or visiting in Seattle. The group visits places of interest, lunches at fine restaurants, or meets at members' homes.

Seattle/Seattle: 3rd Wed. of the month

   The group takes interesting and educational outings in Seattle and throughout the region. Great for newcomers and those who want to learn about the area.

   Members do various stitcher, including cross-stitch, crocheting, knitting, quilting, garment making, and mending.  We meet at members' homes.

Visiting Faculty Housing Service: M – F, 9:30 am–12:30 pm

   Volunteers staff a service that assists new and visiting faculty w/ housing needs. Donations by property owners provide funding for UWFA scholarships.

Computer Interest Group

  This interest group is for those who want to consider, discuss, and get help with home computers. In addition to presentations, we are used as a drop-in computer help center. We meet at the University House in Wallingford where we have internet access. Program updates come by email via UWRA’s            e-digest.
