Dr. Desai is in her first year of fellowship as a Quality of Care Research Fellow at the Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Her fellowship training includes rigorous training in quality improvement research methodology, and she is currently conducting research related to patient-centered outcomes including health-related quality of life, and improving the quality of care transitions between health care settings for children and families. Dr. Desai is also conducting research evaluating the impact of clinical standard work at Seattle Children’s Hospital on health outcomes. Dr. Desai is an Acting Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington, and her clinical and teaching responsibilities include attending at both the University of Washington Pediatric Clinic, and the inpatient general pediatric ward at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Desai is also pursuing a Masters of Science in Health Services Research at the University of Washington School of Public Health.
