Dr. Denno serves as a faculty continuity clinic preceptor for pediatric residents at North Public Health Center and attends at Seattle Children’s Urgent Care facilities.
Dr. Denno has extensive experience in global health health, primarily in Ghana where she worked and lived for three years. She serves as faculty preceptor for medical students on their Global Health Clinical Elective in Ghana. Dr. Denno teaches two courses in the School of Public Health on international maternal and child health, including one that is distance based, and has worked on other distance and in-residence based curriculum and education materials. Her primary areas of research and advocacy interest include: health services access among hard-to-reach populations (especially adolescents), enteric infections, and tropical/environmental enteropathy. Dr. Denno serves on national and international committees related to these topics and has served as consultant on many occasions for the World Health Organization, as well as Seattle based international health NGOs, on programs, projects, and policies related to child and adolescent health.
