Leadership Roles

Continuity Clinic Director at UW Medicine Pediatric Care Center, Clinic Medical Director at UW Medicine Pediatric Care Center

Clinical, Research and/or Teaching Responsibilities

Dr. Wright's job is to oversee and continuously improve the quality of care provided to patients at the UW Pediatrics Care Center, to oversee and develop a high quality primary care training program for pediatric residents, to support and participate in clinical research projects involving patients and providers, and to advocate for children to improve their health.

Dr. Wright's areas of research focus have been medical informatics, child growth, and prevention and management of chronic disorders. I have used informatics to develop intelligent systems to improve care quality and provider efficiency. I have also developed systems to improve access to care, care coordination, and management.

Dr. Wright's clinical work involves direct care for his panel of primary care patients, supervision of care provided by residents in clinic, and supervision of care provided in the UWMC newborn nursery. His teaching also focuses on these areas with teaching of primary care, early childhood oral health, and care of newborn.
