Leadership Roles

Interim Chief, Sports Medicine Program

Clinical, Research and/or Teaching Responsibilities

Dr. Burton is the director of the sports medicine program at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is a board certified pediatrician with a Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Sports Medicine. Dr. Burton is dedicated to providing excellent care for young active people. She practices with an emphasis on safe, healthy and efficient recovery from injuries as well as with an emphasis on preventing injuries in the future. Her practice also includes evaluation and management of concussions and is one of the providers within the Seattle Sports Concussion Program. Dr. Burton has served as a volunteer team physician at numerous international competitions with USA Track and Field and USA Swimming as well as with the United States Olympic Committee at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing China and as the Chief Medical Officer for the inaugural 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
