The Division of General Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics, University of Washington encompasses academic general pediatrics and adolescent medicine. It is one of the largest divisions in the department; members of the division are involved with clinical care, teaching, advocacy, administration and research.
Members of the Division provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care at Seattle Children's Hospital, Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center, the UWMC Primary Care Center, and Odessa Brown Children's Clinic. Faculty in the Division are heavily involved with teaching of medical students, graduate students, residents and fellows. The Division has a large research portfolio, supported by federal and foundation extra-mural grants. The advocacy activities of the division are intimately linked with our clinical, teaching and research activities.
