{"id":1221,"date":"2021-12-17T17:05:34","date_gmt":"2021-12-18T01:05:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwgrad\/?p=1221"},"modified":"2021-12-17T17:05:34","modified_gmt":"2021-12-18T01:05:34","slug":"winter-2022-convey-admissions-decisions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwgrad\/2021\/12\/winter-2022-convey-admissions-decisions\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter 2022: Convey Admissions Decisions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please be advised the fifth day of instruction,\u00a0<strong>Friday, January 7<\/strong>, is an important admission\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/for-students-and-post-docs\/degree-requirements\/dates-and-deadlines\/#Autumn\">deadline<\/a>\u00a0for Winter Quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The following actions should be taken in <a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/for-faculty-and-staff\/mygrad-department-view\/\">MGP<\/a>\u00a0<strong>no later than January 7:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit admission petitions after you confirm a student has withdrawn from all classes (see SRF100 in the Student Database or MGP transcripts).<\/li>\n<li>Defer \u2013 admitted for Winter 2022 deferring to a future quarter. See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gradadvisorguide.pdf\">GEMS Graduate Advisor Guide for policies and procedures.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Early Entry* \u2013 admitted to future quarter planning to begin Winter 2022.  See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gradadvisorguide.pdf\">GEMS Graduate Advisor Guide for policies and procedures.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Change Offer Accepted to Declined Confirmed Status (Applicant paid ECD but will not attend).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Convey decisions for <u>all<\/u> Winter 2022 applications, including decisions for late applications\n<ol>Note: Applications without decisions are automatically changed to \u201cDenied\u201d status after the 8th day of the quarter.<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Submit student petitions\n<ol>\n \tDefer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aep.uw.edu\/placement\">AEP<\/a>\u00a0(Academic English Program) requirements &#8211; admitted for Winter Quarter deferring AEP requirement to Spring Quarter.<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<p>\n<b>Note<\/b>: Students pay their Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) via the <a href=\"https:\/\/registrar.washington.edu\/students\/ecs\/\">Enrollment Confirmation System (ECS)<\/a>, which closes on Friday, January 14th for students admitted for Winter quarter. Students cannot pay the ECD in-person or by postal mail.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:gemshelp@uw.edu\">gemshelp@uw.edu<\/a>\u00a0with any questions.<\/p>\n<p>* A student moving from Spring 2022 to Winter 2022 should be processed\u00a0<em>as soon as possible<\/em>\u00a0to prevent registration problems.
