FAQs for Faculty

How can I get involved with the Honors Program?

There are many ways to get involved! If you're interested in teaching for Honors or just finding out more about the program, contact Julie Villegas, Associate Director, at villegas@u.washington.edu. Our faculty are one of the most important aspects of our program, and we are always interested in hearing from enthusiastic instructors from all disciplines.

Besides teaching, what other kinds of things do Honors faculty do?

Honors has a number of ways for faculty to get involved. Those who are interested in helping to shape the future of the program can join the Honors Council. Others who just want to become more engaged with the Honors student community can participate in events such as faculty dinners at the Honors House. The Honors Program is currently in the process of setting up a more involved faculty mentoring program for those who'd like to be even more involved with students on the individual level.
