Year at UW: First
About me: Hi everyone! My name is Hunter Sapienza and I am a freshman in the Honors Program. Currently, my major is history/mathematics, but yesterday it was biochemistry, and tomorrow it will probably be something entirely different, so who knows where I will actually end up! My first year has been a blast and I am so grateful to be part of such an incredible community within the Honors Program. Outside of class, I enjoy running, yoga, and reading in my spare time. I am a member of Club Northwest, a local running group, and am currently training to run a few half-marathons later this year. I think peanut butter is the food of the gods, and you will never, ever catch me eating asparagus. I absolutely love traveling and am so fortunate to be studying in Rome and Venice this summer with fellow Honors students. At a local elementary school, I volunteer in a first-grade classroom as part of Pipeline Project and it is always the highlight of my week. I hope to teach elementary school or high school math someday. At any other given moment during the week, you will probably find me working or studying in the Honors Office, where I spend way too much of my time haha! I am super excited to be part of the peer mentoring program so don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions at all!
