Year at UW: Second

Hometown: Tacoma, WA

Gender: female

About me: Hi there, it's my second year here at UW and it's been pretty exciting so far. I love to read, bake, cook, be outside, sail, ski, and hike. In high school I was a part of my school's robotics team, Social Justice club, and a couple of other organizations, but I spent most of my time working with a volunteer organization called Amigos de las Americas. After training throughout sophomore year for spending a summer living in rural Latin America, I spent eight weeks in Peru on summer, helped train the new volunteers the next year, and then spent eight weeks in rural Mexico. The experiences I've had living with people completely different than me have been truly transformative. I currently have an internship that I love at an international development organization.
