Year at UW: Fourth

About me: Hello all! My name is Emily! Nice to meet you! I am a current senior double majoring in English and the Comparative History of Ideas with an eye towards public school administration. But, if you had asked me four years ago what I was going to study, I might have said Journalism or Creative Writing. So much has changed since I arrived at the University of Washington. I distinctly remember coming to UW and having absolutely no idea what I was going to do: I had a sense of what I liked and what I didn't (namely math), but, beyond that, I couldn't anticipate what my experiences at the UW would be like. Honors provided me with the skills and reflection practices to actively contextualize my education and now, as I approach my final few quarters, I am confident that I know what I am capable of doing. I not only know what I like, I know what I truly love. I have found direction and have spent a great deal of energy thinking critically about my strengths and Honors has helped me with the sometimes messy process of growing up. Feel free to contact me with any questions!
