Nancy Thomas
Year at UW: Third
About me: Hi! I'm a sophomore Washington NASA Space Grant Scholar majoring in Physics and Astronomy. I'm also minoring in Math and Earth & Space Sciences. After graduating from high school, I came to UW during summer quarter as part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Program to work on Mars remote sensing data with the Earth & Space Sciences Dept. I also do research with the Astronomy Dept. looking for extrasolar planets. Last summer, i participated in an internship at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Boston. I've found my own niche in the huge UW community through smaller groups like my sorority, the UW Women's Choir, and, of course, the Honors Program! Send me an email if you have any questions about my experiences - thanks!
