Year at UW: Fourth

About me: Hi! My name is Sylvia and I am a senior studying Biology with an emphasis in Physiology. I am an avid runner and cyclist and enjoy a nice mechanical pencil (preferably the Staedtler Graphite 777). I studied in France last year as I work my way to applying to medical or graduate school. I have worked at UW Medicine Research in the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine looking at stem cell treatments for cervical spinal chord injuries and was an intern at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center working on cell signaling pathways in C. elegans. I am knitting my third sweater and coach an after school running program called Girls on the Run! My favorite UW activity is running across the field at football games as a Husky Mascot Handler for Dubs! Go Dawgs!
