Sylvia Stellmacher
Year at UW: Third
About me: Hi! My name is Sylvia and I am a junior studying Biology and French. I am an avid runner and cyclist and enjoy a nice mechanical pencil (preferably the Staedtler Graphite 777). I will be studying in France next year as I work my way to applying to medical, veterinary or graduate school. I have worked at UW Medicine Research in the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine for the past year looking at stem cell treatments for cervical spinal chord injuries and am a current intern at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center working on cell signaling pathways in C. elegans. I am knitting my third sweater and coached an after school running program called Girls on the Run this Spring! My favorite UW activity is running across the field at football games as a Husky Mascot Handler for Dubs! Go Dawgs!
