Year at UW: Second

Hometown: Mercer Island

Gender: female

About me: Hi! My name is Alisa Jion Kim (I go by Jion) and I am a sophomore at the UW. I am majoring in English with a writing emphasis (aka creative writing) because I absolutely enjoy reading and writing poems and stories. I am interested in a career in medicine, though, so I am taking pre-med courses and hoping to attend medical school once I graduate. I am a news reporter and copy editor for The Daily, the UW student newspaper, and a volunteer at the UW Medical Center. Last summer I studied abroad in Rome for 4.5 weeks through the UW Creative Writing Program! If you have any questions about pre-med, the English major, the Honors Program, UWMC volunteering, The Daily, studying abroad, etc...ask away! :)
