Year at UW: Fourth

View my Honors portfolio »

About me: Hi, my name is Khloe. I'm a senior majoring in neurobiology, and next year I will be starting at UW's School of Medicine. I really love biology and physiology, but I'm also interested in global health and specifically how socioeconomic factors influence health. I hope to have a medical career treating people in underserved communities and also doing research on neglected diseases and/or healthcare program evaluation and implementation. I've been involved with a lot of shadowing and volunteering in medicine, and I did a global health/premed internship abroad in Bolivia for a quarter during my sophomore year. I currently have a job as a student ambassador helping other students get linked with internships abroad. I've participated in medical, scientific, political, and environmental clubs at UW, and I've also worked in two neurobiology research labs. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, practicing Spanish, and hanging out around campus with friends. I am from a small town and have really enjoyed the close-knit community and small class sizes that the Honors program provides at such a big university. Please contact me if you have questions about UW and the Honors program or anything else I mentioned above!
