Credits
Students will receive honors credits or other UW credits (through advance arrangement with departments).
UW students will receive two quarters worth of UW credit per semester.

How does Direct Exchange work?
Honors students from all majors (and other interested UW students) are invited to spend a semester abroad and receive UW credit (either Honors or other credits).
The UW Honors program has an exchange agreement with Utrecht and Maastricht Honors Colleges which allows students to pay UW tuition. Students also pay for airfare, food, and housing (equivalent to housing costs at the UW). You may use UW scholarships and financial aid to cover costs. IPE and Honors have a limited number of scholarships available.
UW students pay UW tuition through the UW's Home Tuition Program for Reciprocal Exchange. Under this program, UW students pay an amount equal to their regular tuition and fees at the UW, then study at the foreign host institution tuition-free. The funds paid by the outgoing UW student are then used to cover the tuition costs of the incoming international exchange student.
