Two Honors Professors Coauthor a New Study
Past Honors instructors Edwin Waddington and Stephen Warren from Earth and Space Sciences helped publish a new study in Geophysical Research Letters. Along with Adam Campbell, a UW doctoral student, they have researched a prehistoric algae that was potentially the only organism on Earth to survive the ice ages. If researchers can prove the persistence of this microbe, it could reveal important mysteries in evolutionary biology. Members of the Honors community, faculty and students alike, are active participants in some of the most cutting edge research in the U.S.
