HSA Retirements
Dennis Donovan
Director
Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute
Dr. Dennis Donovan, who has led the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute (ADAI) for 25 years, transitioned into an emeritus role in August of this year. Dennis has done an exceptional job leading ADAI to become the outstanding institute which garners local, national, and international recognition for excellence across its programs of research, training, education, and interventions.
HSA will be coordinating the search for the new Director. In the meantime, Dr. Caleb Banta-Green will be serving as Interim Director.
Jude Van Buren
Senior Director
Environmental Health & Safety
Dr. Jude Van Buren, Sr. Director, of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) is retiring in October 2018 after almost 10 years of service in this role at the University. During her time as director Jude has provided exceptional leadership to EH&S. Jude has been pivotal in making significant gains in organizational culture, innovative services to their many research, and campus clients and improvements in health and safety which will serve as a strong foundation for the future.
HSA will be coordinating the search for the new Sr. Director, EH&S. Katia Harb has agreed to serve as Interim Director upon Jude’s retirement date until the position is filled.
