Liquid Handling
CyBio CyBi-Well Vario Workstation
The Center's "Work Horse" liquid handler currently capable of transferring samples in 96, 384 or 1536 well formats. Tip or pin transfer manifold heads available. A cabinet enclosure enables manipulation of sterile cells in culture media.

Beckman Coulter Biomek FX
The Core's newly acquired liquid handler currently capable of transferring samples in 96-well (with tip or pin tools) and soon able to service 384-well formats with a recently acquired manifold head. Existence of a plate carousel bestows this speedy instrument with a designation as the best "athlete" in the facility. Used predominantly for RNAi assays, this instrument will see serious time reformatting compound libraries.
Matrix Technologies WellMate Dispenser / Stacker
The WellMate instrument is a high-speed, small footprint, 8-channel fluid dispenser for delivering samples/reagents efficiently to 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 and 384-well microplates.
Even when coupled with the plate stacker, the unit can readily fit inside a BioSafety
hood for applications where maintenance of sterility is critical.

Fluid-X Xrd384 Dispenser / Stacker
This Fluid-X Dispenser/Stacker is similar to the Core's existing WellMate instrument but differs in critical mechanical/application/performance instances. This new dispenser is a high-speed, small footprint, 8- or 16-channel fluid dispenser for delivering samples/reagents efficiently to 6, 12, 24, 48, 96, 384 and now including 1536-well microplates.
Acquisition of this instrument will aid the facility's move to this higher density standard and correspondingly enable less expensive alternatives to instituting high throughput screens.

PerkinElmer EnVision Multi-label Detector / Plate Reader
Fast, sensitive, versatile benchtop reader, the EnVision handles all fluorescence, luminescence, UV-Vis absorbance, fluorescence polarization and time-resolved fluorescence detection technologies that come through the center.

GE Healthcare IN CELL 2000 Analyzer with Robotic Arm
The IN CELL 2000 Analyzer is a High Content Imager that’s more than just a “microscope in a box”. Housed within the HTS facility, this 6-color wheel microscopy instrument contains an environmentally controlled chamber for live cell imaging and a robotic arm for multi-plate handling. Equipped with 4X, 10X, 20X and 40X objectives, when coupled with its image analysis software enables the “if you see it, we can quantify it” approach to high throughput screening. AVAILABILITY: NOW
Access to this instrument has been granted and provided by Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Laboratory of Randall T. Moon within the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine.
