Quellos High Throughput Screening Core
Essential Instrumentation and Equipment -New Additions-
If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.
- Abraham Maslow
In keeping with the quote indicated above, we've acquired new instrumentation to augment the facility's functional capacity…
GE Healthcare IN CELL 2000 Analyzer with Robotic Arm
The IN CELL 2000 Analyzer is a High Content Imager that’s more than just a “microscope in a box”. Housed within the HTS facility, this 6-color wheel microscopy instrument contains an environmentally controlled chamber for live cell imaging and a robotic arm for multi-plate handling. Equipped with 4X, 10X, 20X and 40X objectives, when coupled with its image analysis software enables the “if you see it, we can quantify it” approach to high throughput screening. AVAILABILITY: NOW
Access to this instrument has been granted and provided by Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Laboratory of Randall T. Moon within the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine.
Screening Libraries -New Additions-
What is a scientist after all? It is a curious man looking through a keyhole, the keyhole of nature, trying to know what's going on.
- Jacques Yves Cousteau
The Quellos High Throughput Screening Core listens to its clients and made new acquisitions aimed to serve as the new "keyholes" for your research endeavors.
Chemical Library Additions:
Some of our clients have desired custom collections of compounds for their research purposes. These clients have supplied us with material that we’ve setup for their screening endeavors. Some of these collections (e.g., an Oncofocus library) can be made available to others for their use. Please contact us for additional information.
Functional Genomics Additions:
siRNA Custom Collections
Some of our clients have desired custom collections of siRNAs for their research purposes. These clients have supplied us with material that we’ve setup for their screening endeavors. Some of these collections (e.g., a DNA Damage Repair Library) can be made available to others for their use. Please contact us for additional information.
Now accepting screening applications:
The Quellos High Throughput Screening Core is accepting applications to utilize the core facility for RNA Interference and/or Chemical (Small Molecule) Library screening. Just fill out the application form (i.e., the link provided below) and click "Submit" for your project's consideration.
Quellos Research Acceleration Awards:
The HTS Core has provided a mechanism whereby accepted screening projects can be subsidized by a Quellos Research Acceleration Award. Please visit the provided link for more information about these awards.
