Visits with Santa at University Village: Now – Dec. 24
Santa pictures are a great way to remember the holidays and are a yearly tradition in many families. Each Monday, Santa takes pictures with pets and a portion of the sales is donated to the Seattle Humane Society. Tell him if you’ve been naughty or nice between the hours of 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Friday to Sunday. Prices begin at $15.99.
“My girlfriend and I wanted to start a new tradition during Christmas,” said Mark Dukeshier, a Kirkland resident. “We went to the pumpkin patch in October and last Christmas she gave me an ornament, so I decided to remember this year by surprising her with a visit to Santa.
Woodland Park Zoo’s Holiday Breakfast and Santa Photos: Dec. 6 and 13
Come celebrate the holidays with the animals. The zoo’s Rain Forest Food Pavilion will treat guests to a delicious buffet breakfast complete with crepes, Danishes, fresh fruit and omelets. Snowflake Lane at Bellevue Square: Nightly, Now – Dec. 24 at 7 p.m.
Be prepared to sing and dance at the Bellevue Collection’s 12th annual Snowflake Lane celebration. Catch snowflakes with your tongue while watching live toy soldiers and drummers dance on the sidewalks of Bellevue Way. A dazzling light show is sure to get your sprits bright.
“I have been coming here with my family for about 10 years,” Parrill said. “Although my kids are all grown up my husband and I love coming here to see the show; it brings back old memories.”
