Save Money By Dialing Right: Did you know that UMWC spends over $45,000 every year on long distance calls that could be free!?!?! Click here for more information on how your department can save money on long distance calls by using RCS (Regional Calling Service).

How to Alpha-page: All alpha pagers can receive messages up to 255 characters in length.
  • USA Mobility pagers – There are two ways to send an alpha page to this type of pager. Go to Metrocall.com and click on Send a Message or send an email to the pager, by following the pattern: 206 pager# @page.metrocall.com
  • UWMC (598-) pagers – You can send alpha messages to UWMC pagers via the following email address: 598XXXX@pager.uwmc.washington.edu, where XXXX equals the last 4 digits of your pager number.
  • Sani-Cloth: It has been determined that increased failure rates in Spectralink phones have been caused by use of the Sani-Cloth Plus germicidal disposable cloth. Due to high water content, the Sani-Cloth product should not be used to clean Spectralink phones. These phones can be cleaned by using a damp cloth or alcohol wipe.

New Poison Control number: The Poison Control Center has a new toll-free number (1-800-222-1222). While the local (206) number will continue to work, the new number can be used anytime and anywhere without accruing long-distance charges.

Access Guide for Persons with Disabilities: The University of Washington's access guide provides information, building by building, regarding entrances, elevators, and parking on the Seattle campus.
