USA Mobility vs. UWMC: What's the difference?

  • USA Mobility (formerly Metrocall)pager

    Considered "long-range" pagers, these units have the capability of receiving pages outside of the hospital. The cost is based on a month-to-month rental charge. Extended coverage (national or international) is available; please place request with one-week advance notice or call 206-616-1002.

  • UWMC Pager

    These pagers, all of which start with the prefix 598-, only work in the hospital and the surrounding area. The cost is a one-time fee for the equipment; service is provided free of charge.
