The EIP Undergraduate Research Opportunities page provides information about institutions nationwide that offer summer research internship opportunities. We encourage you to apply for these internships. Internships almost always come with stipends and room and board. You will also still receive your UW McNair research stipend, which will supplement whatever funding you receive from the host institution.

Application deadlines for summer research programs usually fall between January and March of that year. Every January, the McNair Program offers a workshop for McNair Scholars on the importance of summer research opportunities and the application process.
