Adriana Mendez

Biology

 

Adriana Mendez is a senior in the Department of Biology, specializing in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She is a current undergraduate researcher in the Zweifel Lab exploring the properties of dopamine neurons in the VTA and how they are regulated. She is involved in various minority peer mentoring programs at the University of Washington and is a volunteer for the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Seattle. Adriana is planning to attend graduate school and continue her education in biology to attain her PhD.  She wants to continue conducting research and enter the field of academia. In her spare time, Adriana enjoys kayaking, photography and hiking.
