UW McNair

The following is a list of UW undergraduate research opportunities and other resources for undergraduate students.

Take a look at the Research page to see all of the resources, offices, and programs dedicated to research here at the UW.

The Undergraduate Research section of that page gives an overview of opportunities for undergraduates to get involved in research, and the role, benefits, and impact of research on a student's academic career. You can also find information here on awards and grants for research activity.

Contact the Undergraduate Research Program to find out about specific research projects and opportunities for undergraduates.

You can volunteer to participate in an ongoing research project. Researchers are often seeking subjects/volunteers for their research, and they will sometimes offer money to those who participate.

The Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium provides a wonderful opportunity for students to present their research and for others to learn about research conducted by UW undergraduates.

The Honors Program at the University of Washington works closely with the McNair Program to make sure that McNair Scholars receive information connected to graduating With Honors (College Honors) or With Distinction (Departmental Honors). Please glance over their web page if you think you may qualify to become an Honors student.

Make sure to check the Undergraduate Scholarship Office website often. They list all of the scholarships available to undergraduates. They also regularly conduct workshops to inform students about scholarships and assist students in the application process.
