Description

The Hepatitis and Liver Clinic at HMC provides consultative services for patients with a variety of acute and chronic liver disorders, and provides long-term monitoring and management of chronic liver diseases, particularly viral hepatitis. Residents will be preferentially assigned to see new patients, but will also see return patients undergoing HBV or HCV treatment, or who present unique diagnostic or therapeutic challenges. Residents working in this clinic will be exposed to a variety of outpatient liver diseases. On completion, they will better understand how to monitor disease severity, assess treatment candidacy, and weigh treatment options in patients with viral hepatitis and other chronic liver disorders.
