Description

Seattle Keiro Rehabilitation and Care Center provides medical and rehabilitation care for geriatric patients in an Asian culture-sensitive environment. The goal of this rotation is for residents to experience providing clinical care at a skilled nursing facility (SNF) and to learn about the transition of care from an acute hospital to SNF. In addition, residents will learn how a SNF is organized and managed.

Information for Residents

• Please wear your white coat so that patients and their families will know who you are.
• Dr. Hirano will meet you at 8:00 at Harborview R&T for Geriatric Grand Rounds. You will then travel to Keiro and start rounding at 9:30 a.m.
• Please page Dr. Hirano (969-0735) if you will be late or unable to attend a session.
• Parking is free in the lot (accessed from S. Washington St.) When the lot is full, street parking is generally available.
