This elective involves working in an outpatient setting
in which patients are selected specifically to provide the most benefit
in learning and clinical experience. Both the number of patients and
the types of presenting problems can be individually structured for the
resident's needs and specific goals. The patients are of a diverse, mixed-socioeconomic
population with significant pathology.
