Tuesday mornings 8:30-12:00p
We have a weekly pre-clinic conference from 8 to 8:30 am in the conference room in clinic. There is a rotating responsibility for presenting at this conference by residents, fellows and attendings. The conference is intended to be practical and informal. Attendance is a required part of the rotation.

Description

We see patients with a range of gastrointestinal issues, including upper GI disorders, pancreaticobiliary disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and functional GI disorders. Between 8:30 - 12:00 noon, the residents will each evaluate 3-4 patients newly referred to GI for consultation. Also by rotation, two designated GI staff attendings will staff these new cases with the resident or fellows, as his/her sole duty for that clinic session. Because this is a main GI clinic, all facets of ambulatory GI, except for procedures, are represented. A hepatology attending is also present to address hepatology issues. Up to three R2-R3 residents can staff this clinic, R1s are also welcome.
