Pacific Science Center seeks an Evaluation Manager to lead all aspects of the evaluation program. Pacific Science Center is committed to comprehensive and meaningful assessment of the Science Center’s impact on its audience and the effectiveness of its education programs and exhibits. The Evaluation Manager manages all activities related to the evaluation and assessment of Pacific Science Center’s audience, education programs and exhibits including methodology development, data collection and analysis and dissemination of reports to audiences and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have: a Master’s Degree, preferably in museum studies or education; Minimum of five years in evaluation of education programs, exhibits, survey research or related field; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Strong project management skills with ability to successfully manage several large initiatives simultaneously; Ability to work well with staff, visitors, and partners in professional, education, and evaluation settings; Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills; Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple, simultaneous, diverse projects; Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines; Advanced knowledge of experimental design, data collection methods and analysis; Proficiency with statistical applications, electronic database collection tools and database management (e.g. SPSS); Strong understanding of audience research and learning in a museum setting; High level of energy and enthusiasm, positive attitude, service-oriented; Ability to interact respectfully with supervisors, fellow employees volunteers and science center visitors.
