The Seattle Aquarium is a vital and iconic local landmark, engaging and educating visitors about the wonders of Puget Sound and the oceans beyond. Located on Piers 59/60 on the Seattle Waterfront, the Aquarium has welcomed over 17 million guests since opening in 1977.
The Aquarium is the eighth largest in the U.S. by attendance, over 800,000 visitors each year, and the Puget Sound region’s third largest paid cultural attraction. With 98 full time staff, the Aquarium aspires to not only educate visitors about the marine world, but also to inspire wonder and action to safeguard the oceans as vital to the existence of life on earth.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on executing on creative concepts through their training in the industrial arts arena. This is a hands on position working throughout the aquarium, at the direction of the Creative Director and will involve the opportunity to work with a variety of materials such wood, plastics, metal, etc.
