The Intern will play a critical role during the busy summer season, when there are up to 70 Discovery Corps participants to support. At the internship*s conclusion, the intern will have gained valuable youth development and mentorship skills.
Summer will be a busy season for Pacific Science Center as we host the Seattle Science Festival in June, open the new Imaginate exhibit and participate in a variety of summer community events. Our Marketing Department has an exciting internship opportunity for students interested in promoting the Science Center and supporting these exciting events. The Special Events & Marketing Intern will assist with marketing, public relations, and event planning throughout the summer. At the internship's conclusion, the intern should have gained valuable event planning and marketing skills, as well as strengthened their resume/portfolio. This is a great opportunity for students who want to positively impact a nonprofit while exploring a career in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications.
The Portal to the Public department has an exciting internship opportunity for an experienced and creative student. The intern will help maintain the Science Center's existing Portal to the Public Web site and participate in the expansion of the site that will add more interactive components to better connect the network of Portal to the Public sites across the country. At the internship's conclusion, the intern will have gained marketable Web skills and expanded their professional portfolio.
