Your education may not stop with an undergraduate degree.  To progress in your Naval career, continuing education is expected. Below are some details about graduate school scholarship opportunities for both Active Duty and Midshipmen. For more information, talk to an advisor.

Active Duty

Junior Line Officer Advanced Educational Program AKA Burke Program

Eligibility: The AE-IGEP will be offered to graduates who have service selected for aviation, have academic degrees in aeronautical, aerospace or mechanical engineering, and have a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Woods Hole
Oceanographic Institution Joint Master Program.

Application: USNA and NROTC may each nominate one midshipman for participation. A package consisting of a copy of the MIT/WHOI application, transcripts, GRE scores, student statement, and PNS endorsement must be forwarded to OD4

Highest Degree possible: 27 months graduate study; 6402P (Operational Oceanography) subspecialty code.

Medical/Dental School.
Eligibility/Application: Maximum of 25 midshipmen to select medical and dental school training.  However, these programs pertain to service selection and result in a primary designator.
