Winter Commissioning SWO Ship Assignments

Ship assignments are in and UW NROTC is sending five surface warfare officers off into the fleet after they commission March 16th. Officer Candidate Wright, Midshipman Eiser, MIDN Fee, MIDN Brantner, and MIDN Pajarillo will be reporting to their respective ships as Ensigns of the United States Navy. OC Wright will be reporting to the USS Makin Island (LHD-8), a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship. MIDN Eiser is reporting to the USS Decatur (DDG-73),an Arleigh Burke class destroyer. MIDN Fee has been given orders to the USS Cowpens (CG-63), a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser.

Change of Command Ceremony

A change of command ceremony is a very time honored tradition, celebrated around every military fighting force. The University of Washington’s Husky Battalion has just performed their own change of command ceremony this week, welcoming in the new BNCO, OC Wytaske and a whole new staff for the next command period. We would like to wish him and his staff, much luck in this command period and to perform to the upmost of their ability. The Husky Battalion would also like to congratulate and thank the former staff on a job well done with the work of the last command period.

With the problems with mental health throughout the military, the CNP has directed the addition of Veterans Crisis Line logo and link to help those who need it. The website may be accessed by clicking on the logo itself. There is also a page under the table on the left side of the page as well.
