Happy Halloween!

As of last week, the Husky Battalion initiated the Battalion Mentorship Program. This program is an exciting opportunity for all Midshipmen to learn more about the Battalion and the direction they want to take as future Battalion leaders and officers. This week, the Battalion received a brief on high-intensity training from an IMA trainer. This information is helpful to direct PT workouts, but make sure that you properly assess your abilities so as to not cause injury. Last but not least, the Birthday Ball begins tomorrow at 1800 at the HUB.

Spring Quarter Begins

Apr

Spring quarter has been in session for about three weeks now, and the battalion has been as busy as ever. On Saturday, April 13th, the Husky Battalion had it's first ever Barks and Recreation Day. This event was successful thanks to the hard work and planning of the Gold Department. Some highlights of the day were the performance of the Regulation Drill team at Red Square and the Students vs. Staff volleyball game. The Reg. Drill Team continued the nearly 90+ year tradition of close-order drill at the University of Washington.

Spring Break

Mar
24

Winter Quarter finals are over and now the Husky Battalion is on Spring Break. Last Friday, 2nd Lieutenant Greenslade was commissioned and Brigadier General Wise was the guest of honor. BGen Wise gave a short speech on a Marine officer's obligation to his marines prior to handing 2nd LT Greenslade his commission and administering the Oath of Office.

Have a great break Battalion! Recharge the batteries so we can hit the books hard in the Spring!
